This logo was still used on films following Walt Disney's death in 1966 until it was discontinued in 1979. This name was only used live-action productions from WDP (under the Walt Disney Pictures name) at that time but animated productions continued to use the WDP name until 1983's Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore. In 1985, WDP debuted a simplified castle logo mainly inspired by Disneyland.
